Shipping Policy

1. Shipping Methods and Carriers

Trippies Clothing ships worldwide from Sierra Leone using various shipping carriers and methods selected at our discretion based on reliability, efficiency, cost, and destination.

We reserve the right to:

  • Choose the shipping carrier and method for each order
  • Change shipping carriers or methods at any time without notice
  • Refuse to ship to certain locations due to safety, legal, or logistical concerns
  • Require additional documentation or information for international shipments

2. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated based on:

  • Package weight and dimensions
  • Destination country and location
  • Shipping method selected
  • Applicable surcharges and fees

Shipping costs will be provided and agreed upon before order confirmation. All shipping costs are non-refundable unless the shipment is lost or damaged due to our error or carrier negligence.

Free shipping offers, if available, apply only to standard shipping methods and may exclude custom orders, oversized items, or international destinations. Any free shipping offers are subject to change or cancellation at any time without notice.

We reserve the right to adjust shipping costs if actual shipping costs exceed the quoted amount due to incorrect weight or dimension information provided by the customer.

3. Order Processing Times

3.1 Standard Orders

Most standard orders are ready to ship within 7-14 business days from the date of order confirmation and payment receipt. Processing times may vary depending on:

  • Order volume and complexity
  • Product availability
  • Seasonal demands
  • Force majeure events

3.2 Custom Orders

Custom orders, including custom sizing, design modifications, and special requests, may take longer. Estimated processing times for custom orders will be communicated during order confirmation and may range from 14-30 business days or longer depending on complexity.

Processing times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. We are not liable for delays in processing times unless caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

4. Shipping Times and Delivery

4.1 Estimated Delivery Times

International delivery times vary by destination and shipping method:

  • Standard shipping: 14-28 business days after shipment
  • Express shipping: 7-14 business days after shipment (if available)
  • Expedited shipping: 3-7 business days after shipment (if available)

These are estimated delivery times only and are not guaranteed. Actual delivery times may vary due to factors beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Customs clearance delays
  • Weather conditions
  • Carrier delays
  • Public holidays
  • Local postal service disruptions
  • Force majeure events

4.2 Delivery Responsibilities

Once we ship your order and provide tracking information, delivery becomes the responsibility of the shipping carrier. We are not responsible for delays, lost packages, or delivery issues caused by:

  • Shipping carrier errors or delays
  • Customs processing delays
  • Incorrect or incomplete delivery addresses provided by the customer
  • Failure to pick up packages from postal facilities
  • Local delivery service issues
  • Acts of third parties

5. Order Confirmation and Payment

Orders will be processed only after:

  • We have received and confirmed your order
  • Payment has been received and cleared
  • All required information has been provided (including accurate measurements for custom orders)
  • We have confirmed product availability

You will receive an order confirmation email containing order details and estimated shipping date. This confirmation does not guarantee shipment by a specific date but represents our best estimate.

We reserve the right to delay or cancel orders if payment is not received within the agreed timeframe or if payment is disputed or reversed.

6. Tracking Information

Tracking information will be provided via email once your order has been shipped. You can use this tracking information to monitor your shipment's progress.

We are not responsible for:

  • Inaccurate or delayed tracking information provided by carriers
  • Tracking information not updating in a timely manner
  • Carrier systems being temporarily unavailable

7. Shipping Address

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address. We are not responsible for:

  • Orders shipped to incorrect addresses provided by the customer
  • Delays or non-delivery due to incomplete, inaccurate, or illegible addresses
  • Additional costs incurred for address corrections or rerouting
  • Lost packages due to incorrect addresses

If you provide an incorrect address and the package is returned to us, you will be responsible for additional shipping costs to reship to the correct address. We reserve the right to charge an additional processing fee for address corrections.

We are not obligated to reship packages returned due to incorrect addresses. If you wish to reship, you must place a new order and pay applicable shipping costs.

8. Lost, Stolen, or Undelivered Packages

8.1 Our Responsibility

We are only responsible for lost, stolen, or undelivered packages if:

  • The loss occurs before the package is tendered to the shipping carrier
  • The loss is due to our gross negligence or willful misconduct
  • The package is lost due to our error in shipping documentation or labeling

8.2 Carrier Responsibility

Once a package is tendered to the shipping carrier with proper documentation, the carrier assumes responsibility for delivery. We are not responsible for:

  • Packages lost or stolen after delivery to the carrier
  • Packages lost or stolen during transit
  • Packages lost or stolen after delivery to the address (including porch theft)
  • Undelivered packages due to carrier errors

8.3 Insurance

We recommend purchasing shipping insurance for valuable orders. Insurance is not automatically included unless specifically purchased. We are not responsible for uninsured losses unless caused by our gross negligence.

If you do not purchase insurance, you accept responsibility for any loss or damage that occurs during shipping.

9. Damaged Packages

9.1 Inspection Upon Delivery

You must inspect packages immediately upon delivery. If a package appears damaged:

  • Do not accept delivery if possible, or note damage on the delivery receipt
  • Take photographs of the damaged package and contents
  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
  • Retain all packaging materials for inspection

9.2 Our Responsibility

We are only responsible for damage that occurs:

  • Due to inadequate packaging by us
  • Due to our gross negligence in handling
  • Before the package is tendered to the shipping carrier

9.3 Carrier Responsibility

Damage that occurs during shipping is the responsibility of the shipping carrier. We will assist you in filing a claim with the carrier, but we are not responsible for:

  • Carrier refusal to honor damage claims
  • Damage claims denied by carriers
  • Delays in carrier claim processing
  • Damage that occurs after delivery

9.4 Claims Process

To file a damage claim:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence
  • Provide order details and tracking information
  • Retain the damaged item and packaging until the claim is resolved
  • Cooperate with our investigation and any carrier investigation

We reserve the right to determine the validity of damage claims and the appropriate resolution, which may include repair, replacement, or refund, at our sole discretion.

Claims filed more than 48 hours after delivery may be denied.

10. Customs and Duties

10.1 Customer Responsibility

International customers are solely responsible for:

  • All customs duties, taxes, fees, and charges imposed by their country
  • All import regulations and restrictions
  • Obtaining any required permits or licenses
  • Providing accurate customs declarations
  • Any delays or additional costs due to customs processing

10.2 Customs Information

We will provide accurate customs documentation based on the information you provide. However, we are not responsible for:

  • Customs authorities rejecting or questioning declarations
  • Additional duties or taxes assessed by customs authorities
  • Delays in customs processing
  • Seizure of packages by customs authorities
  • Discrepancies between estimated and actual customs charges

10.3 Refused Shipments

If a package is refused by customs or returned to us due to customs issues:

  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable
  • You are responsible for return shipping costs
  • We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee
  • Refunds will be issued minus all shipping and processing costs

11. Returns and Refunds Due to Shipping Issues

If you choose to return an item due to shipping-related issues (excluding damage or loss due to our error):

  • You are responsible for return shipping costs
  • The original shipping cost is non-refundable
  • We reserve the right to deduct a restocking fee
  • Refunds will be processed only after we receive and inspect returned items

12. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for delays or failures in shipping caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters, acts of God, extreme weather conditions
  • War, terrorism, civil unrest, government actions
  • Pandemics, epidemics, public health emergencies
  • Labor strikes, work stoppages, or labor disputes
  • Shipping carrier disruptions or failures
  • Customs or border closures
  • Internet or telecommunications failures
  • Shortages of materials or supplies
  • Changes in laws or regulations affecting shipping

In the event of force majeure, we will use reasonable efforts to notify you and will resume shipping as soon as reasonably practicable. We are not obligated to provide refunds or compensation for delays caused by force majeure events.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TRIPPIES CLOTHING SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO SHIPPING, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • DELAYED DELIVERY
  • LOST OR STOLEN PACKAGES (EXCEPT WHERE CAUSED BY OUR GROSS NEGLIGENCE)
  • DAMAGED PACKAGES (EXCEPT WHERE CAUSED BY OUR GROSS NEGLIGENCE)
  • CUSTOMS DELAYS OR CHARGES
  • CARRIER ERRORS OR FAILURES
  • LOSS OF USE, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES
  • EMOTIONAL DISTRESS
  • COSTS OF SUBSTITUTE PRODUCTS

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO SHIPPING SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PRODUCTS AND SHIPPING COSTS FOR THAT SPECIFIC ORDER.

WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, ARISING FROM SHIPPING DELAYS OR PROBLEMS.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Trippies Clothing, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any claims, actions, demands, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:

  • Your violation of this Shipping Policy
  • Your provision of incorrect or incomplete shipping information
  • Your failure to comply with customs or import regulations
  • Any disputes with shipping carriers
  • Any third-party claims arising from shipping issues

15. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising out of or relating to shipping shall be resolved in accordance with our Terms of Service, including the dispute resolution and governing law provisions.

We reserve the right to modify this Shipping Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.

Your continued use of our services after changes to this Shipping Policy constitutes acceptance of those changes.
